The Weight of Silence

A person often becomes the subject of other people's judgment the moment they turn their thoughts into words. Every spoken word gives others an opportunity to interpret it, distort it, and measure it according to their own standards. Silence, however, does not mean emptiness — sometimes it is a sign of the deepest thought.

The one who speaks little does not give the world enough material to define them easily. Their intentions remain hidden, their thoughts unfinished, and their actions speak louder than their explanations.

Because people most often do not judge what they do not know — they judge what they think they know.

Perhaps, then, wisdom is not always about finding the right words, but about knowing when those words should remain unspoken. The more you think before you speak, the fewer of your weaknesses you place in the hands of others.

**Silence does not prevent people from judging you. It simply takes away the material they could use to justify their judgment.**
